Research Findings on the Application of the Arch Structure Model in Coal Mining, a Review

Studying the movement law and failure mechanism of overburden is important to underground safety production, aquifer protection, surface subsidence ecological protection. A commonly used model, arch structure for studying systematically reviewed in this paper. First, mining field divided into an unconsolidated layer arch, beam (hinged arch), according arching medium. On basis, research progress existing problems these three models are discussed means, including theoretical modeling, numerical simulation, similar measurements. The application model focuses on prediction prevention pressure subsidence, there relatively few means actively regulate arch. Thus, control methods coal proposed: preset method before mining, process during end reinforcement after mining. Finally, main focus future discussed.
